The lighthouse on Kvitsøy is from 1700. But then it was a kind of burning light-swing-thing.Stupid light, because then they had to burn a fire in a bowl, and it’s not a single tree to use as wood on the entire island. Then in 1829 or thereabout, they made a new one. It is 48 meters above sea level on top, and it’s the perfect height to look for sheep. Not that one needs to look so much for them, but scouting is scouting. Complete package! So I hereby deliver an application: Hire me as a lighthouse keeper! I am the natural choice! Beautiful, charming, attentive and smells good. What more do you need in the top of a lighthouse?
